About Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program of Iowa
The Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program (WRAP) provides timely home access to people in need. We are a coalition of volunteers and service organizations who work together to build custom wheelchair ramps giving people with limited mobility the freedom to easily enter and leave their homes. Watch us in action!
Our clients are often in crisis — affected by a life-changing illness or accident that leaves them unable to get back into their homes. A wheelchair ramp is usually the last thing on their minds. We’re here to help with a quick and affordable solution that enables our clients to regain their independence and quality of life.
WRAP volunteers offer free labor and, if needed, help clients find financial assistance for building materials. We also assist with repairs after the ramp is installed.
Interested in supporting WRAP in its mission? We’re a non-profit program that depends on volunteers and donors. We need trainers, ramp designers, builders, material donations (we accept donations of used ramps as well as tools and other materials) and, of course, financial contributions. Find out how you can volunteer, contribute funds or make in-kind donations.
