WRAP earned United Way Annual Outstanding Volunteer Awards

United Way Annual Outstanding Volunteer Awards event was held last week to appreciate and recognize volunteers in our community. Volunteers are separated into five categories: Youth, Adult, Senior, Business and Group. The United Way William B. Quarton Society committee determined the top three finalists in each category and the winners were selected by public vote on United Way’s website from March 17 to April 2nd. This year, over 40 nominations and more than 7,000 votes were received and the winners were announced at our Volunteer Awards event.

  • Outstanding Youth Volunteer – Katie Hamilton
  • Outstanding Adult Volunteer – Heather Keim
  • Outstanding Senior Volunteer – Janet Holtman
  • Outstanding Group Volunteer – WRAP Wheelchair Ramp Builders
  • Outstanding Business Volunteer – Geonetric

As part of the award, each finalist receives $500 donation from United Way to share with a nonprofit of their choice, thanks to a sponsorship from Rockwell Collins and Transamerica.
